Her range of experience includes over ten years as an Executive Administrative Assistant for various executives (CEO/COO) of corporations doing business on national and international levels, as well as over 20 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Paralegal, and Medical and Legal Researcher.

As a Virtual Assistant, Carol started CNRH Enterprises in 2001 in order to manage a client’s law firm some 3,000 miles away, while performing operations and retail sales projection work for more local businesses.

Carol’s skills in such administrative areas as word processing, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, advertising/marketing brochures, business cards, spreadsheets and the like are legendary! She prides herself on her extraordinary abilities to multi-task, be highly organized, extremely efficient and get the job done right the first time!

DO YOU REALLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR?

The median average salary of an Executive Administrative Assistant is approximately $55,600 USD annually.  But do you really get what you pay for?

Assuming a 40-hour workweek and a 52-week year, your Executive Administrative Assistant would be paid for 2,080 hours throughout the year at $26.73 per hour.

"That seems more than reasonable," you say.  However, according to a recent survey by America Online and Salary.com, the average worker admits to wasting 2 hours of their 8 hour workday on non-work related activities.  So, assuming that your Executive Administrative Assistant takes a 1 hour lunch and has two 15-minute breaks, the work year turns into 1,170 hours instead of the 2,080 hours being paid for your work getting done.  This yields an effective hourly rate of $48.49.

Next, we incorporate benefits.  The approximate total percentage in benefits paid by the average U.S. employer is 25%.  This means the average employer pays $55,600 x 25% ($13,900) = $69,500 per year.  Your effective hourly rate has now escalated to $60.61.

And finally, we incorporate time off, as these benefits are usually not calculated into standard "benefits" such as health care, life insurance, pension, profit sharing, 401(k) and the like.  The median time taken off per year is approximately ten sick/personal days and ten days (or more) of vacation time.  NOW, your work year turns into 1,010 hours instead of the 2,080 hours being worked.  This is an effective hourly rate of a WHOPPING $70.44!

This result would be even higher if we included the cost of taxes, office space, equipment, supplies and additional overhead!

Still think you get what you pay for?  Try CNRH Enterprises instead … you’ll be SURPRISED how much $$MONEY$$ you can really save!
